Connect thermal printer to Shopboxo to easily print receipts or order tickets
Navigate to Store tab and tap to Devices > + Add
You can connect printer via Bluetooth or using LAN connection.
Bluetooth Connection
Turn on Bluetooth
Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone or device that you will use to connect to the printer.Bluetooth Connection in Devices
Select the option to connect via Bluetooth. This will enable the Shopboxo system to search for available Bluetooth printers.Connect the Printer
Click the refresh button on the page to search for nearby Bluetooth printers. Once the available printers are listed, select the desired printer from the list and Connect.Printer Setup and Test Print
Once connected, you will be prompted to set up the printer. Provide a printer title and choose whether it will be used for receipt printing or as a kitchen printer.
Tap on Test Print button to verify the printer's functionality.Complete Setup
Tap the "Done" button to complete the setup. The new printer will now be added to your list of connected devices in Shopboxo.

Add printer by IP Address
In the Devices menu, select the option to connect by IP Address.
Input Port and IP Address
Enter the port number and IP address of the printer and tap Next.Printer Setup and Test Print
Once connected, you will be prompted to set up the printer. Provide a printer title and choose whether it will be used for receipt printing or as a kitchen printer.
Tap on Test Print button to verify the printer's functionality.Complete Setup
Tap the "Done" button to complete the setup. The new printer will now be added to your list of connected devices in Shopboxo.

Discovering printer's IP Address:
Check out your printer's Control panel and find Network Settings menu
Look for an option related to IP address configuration.
If the printer's IP address is set to automatic (DHCP), note the current IP address displayed.
If the IP address is not configured or needs to be changed, follow the instructions to set a static IP address.
Discovering printer's Port:
Refer to your printer's manual for the specific port number it uses for communication. Common port numbers for receipt printers include 9100, 515, or 9101. The manual will provide the necessary details.
Verifying LAN connection details:
Open a Command prompt (Windows) or Terminal (macOS/Linux).
Type the following command:
ping <printer IP address>
.Replace
<printer IP address>
with the actual IP address of your thermal printer.If the printer is online and accessible, you will receive successful ping replies.
Troubleshooting: Please make sure your printer is powered and Bluetooth/LAN connected.
To remove connected printer please tap on Options > Remove Printer
